This is a section describing the death of my Great Great Uncle Walter in Woolwich, South London, tragically within months of having survived the First World War.
We work and travel around London; and as we do, pass interesting places. Waiting at Sloane Square tube station you look up and see the huge pipe that carries the River Westbourne, We walk along The Strand, many of us little guessing that the name comes from the Old English word for "beach" To look again at our surroundings and add interest to these travels is why I decided to write this blog. Enjoy and add some feedback please.
